Chakra is Sanskrit (oldest writing language) for “wheel” or “vortex”. Our bodies are comprised by seven major chakras, energy centers, that house the life force that we are. Scientists have measured their existence and found that the electromagnetic emanations can be detected as far as 26 feet from the physical body. Even though chakras are not physical, they are experienced in the physical bodies. An imbalanced chakra will show up in the body as physical, mental or emotional challenges. Chakras may be used as portals to healing, prosperity and happiness.
The fifth chakra is called the Throat chakra and it is located in the throat area. The Throat chakra is associated with the color blue.
The Throat chakra governs the thyroid gland, mouth and teeth, ears/nose/throat, respiratory system and neck.
On the emotional level the Throat chakra it rules communication, expression, singing and writing.
When the Throat chakra is out of balance it manifests as TMJ, neck problems, thyroid issues, weight issues, sinus problems, dishonesty, being critical of self and others. Additionally, as fear of speaking and inability to listen.
Some ways to heal the Throat chakra are:
Journaling and being authentic, singing, giving yourself permission and speaking your truth.
Some essential oils are eucalyptus, sage, and myrrh.
Some crystals are moonstone, sodalite, larimar, and bluestone.
Eating blueberries and blue color foods.
Wearing blue color clothing for color therapy.
Affirmation: I give myself permission to speak my truth.
This is just a brief introduction to the seven major chakras and there is so much more in understanding and healing ourselves through the chakras. Contacting a Holistic Health Practitioner and using Energy healing are powerful and effective ways in healing our body, mind and spirit.
